Chemical Reaction Hazards and Risk Assessment
Gain essential tools to identify and mitigate chemical reactivity hazards with a focus on preventing thermal runaway reactions. Learn screening methods, calorimetry, PHI factors, and how to integrate inherently safer design into your process.

Safe Handling & Processing of Combustible Dusts

Day 3 – Oct 29
Understanding and Controlling Electrostatic Hazards
Delve into how static electricity is generated and how it can ignite flammable atmospheres. This course includes real-world case studies and demonstrations of electrostatic discharges.

Learn how to assess hazardous area classifications and select compliant electrical and mechanical equipment that minimizes ignition risks in classified zones.

Beyond Compliance: Development and Implementation of PSM in the Workplace
Move from meeting regulatory requirements to building a culture of safety excellence. This day offers practical strategies for implementing an effective Process Safety Management (PSM) program.

Prime Process Safety Center President and CTO-Dr. Guibing Zhao
Dr. Guibing Zhao is a highly accomplished chemical engineer and the co-founder of Prime Process Safety Center, bringing over 20 years of experience in chemical engineering and process safety.
He specializes in:

Dr. Emmanuel Kwasi Addai is the President and CEO of Prime Process Safety Center, with a decade of combined experience in process safety engineering and consulting, manufacturing, research, and environmental engineering.
He specializes in:

Dr. Addai has led over 300 assessments and investigations, including PHAs, PSM audits, and incident analyses for clients across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Pakistan. He is well versed in major codes and standards such as NFPA, OSHA 1910, EPA-RMP, and FM Global.
In addition to consulting, Dr. Addai has developed and delivered numerous training programs focused on combustible dust hazard control. He has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and conference papers, and serves as an adjunct professor at Sam Houston State University, where he teaches courses on Process Safety Management.
