Dr. Guibing Zhao
President and Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Guibing Zhao is a highly accomplished chemical engineer and the co-founder of Prime Process Safety Center. With over two decades of experience in chemical engineering and process safety, Dr. Zhao specializes in hazard assessment, incident investigation, and the design of emergency relief systems. He has led numerous projects focused on chemical reaction hazards, dust explosions, flammable liquid/gas, ignition (including electrostatic) source analysis, and the application of advanced safety technologies.
Having held leadership roles at renowned organizations such as Wanhua Chemical Group and DEKRA Process Safety, Dr. Zhao is widely recognized for his extensive knowledge of global safety standards, including NFPA, API, and various international codes. With more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and significant contributions to both industry and academia, he is a sought-after expert and speaker at international process safety conferences.
Dr. Zhao’s unwavering commitment to safety excellence is further demonstrated by numerous accolades, including the Dekra Global Business Excellence Award. He remains actively involved in key process safety initiatives around the world, continuing to shape the future of process safety and ensuring safer industrial practices across various sectors.
Emmanuel Kwasi Addai, Ph.D., MBA, CCPSC, CSP, and CFEI
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Prime Process Safety Center, with a decade of combined experience in process safety engineering/consulting, manufacturing, research, and environmental engineering. Dr. Addai has performed over 300 fire and explosion hazard and risk assessments, PHA’s, PSM audits, and incident investigations for various process industries in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Pakistan. Dr. Addai is well versed in the requirements of regulatory codes and standards, including all applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) publications, EPA-RMP, FM Global, and OSHA 1910. Dr. Addai has also developed and presented training courses on controlling the risk of combustible dust hazards and has over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Addai also serves as an adjunct professor at Sam Houston State University, where he instructs process safety management courses.
